The idea was born at Plata and developed from scratch exclusively for our bar. We wanted to reinvent the classic moment of blowing out the candles and turn it into a visual,interactive and surprising experience that simply didn’t exist before.

When the Birthday Cake arrives at the table, the candles are glowing and the name of the person celebrating appears on the LED display at the base. Then comes the moment to blow: the candles go out and, as a surprise, the large HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign lights up.
It all happens in just a few seconds, but it is usually the moment when every phone around the table comes out. Because seeing it in a photo is one thing — experiencing it with your own name glowing in front of you is something completely different.
A Birthday Cake Personalised with Your Name
One of the details that makes every celebration different is at the base of the Birthday Cake: an LED display shows “Happy Birthday” together with the name of the person celebrating.
When the Birthday Cake arrives at the table with your own name glowing, it stops being just a birthday presentation and becomes something prepared especially for you. We can also display other short messages if you prefer.

No. Plata Cocktail Bar does not take reservations; we operate on a walk-in basis. You can come and celebrate your birthday and request the Birthday Cake at the bar. Happy Birthday Shots are available after a first round of cocktails.
