The Birthday Cake arrives glowing at your table. Your name appears on the LED display, the candles invite you to make a wish and the final effect transforms a familiar ritual into something entirely unexpected.

Your name becomes part of the piece.
The display at the base can show “Happy Birthday” together with the guest’s name. Other short messages can also be prepared when appropriate, turning the presentation into something made for one person and one night.

The whole celebration arrives at the table.
Happy Birthday Shots are served around the Birthday Cake so the complete presentation reaches the table as one shared experience. They are available after a first round of cocktails and can be requested directly at the bar.

Many visitors discover the experience through Instagram, TikTok or other guests’ recommendations, and some come specifically to Plata Cocktail Bar to celebrate their birthday and experience it in person. What is the Birthday Cake at Plata Cocktail Bar?
It’s an interactive birthday experience created from scratch exclusively for Plata Cocktail Bar Barcelona. It combines Happy Birthday Shots, LED candles, an illuminated HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign and a personalised display showing the name of the person celebrating.
What happens when you blow out the candles?
When you blow, the system detects the airflow and triggers the surprise: the LED candles go out and the large HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign lights up.
Can the Birthday Cake be personalised with a name?
Yes. The LED display at the base can show “Happy Birthday” together with the person’s name. We can also display other short messages if you prefer.
Is the Birthday Cake a real cake?
No. It’s a specially created piece designed to present the birthday experience and the Happy Birthday Shots. Its cake-like appearance is part of the design
Do I need a reservation to celebrate a birthday at Plata Cocktail Bar?
No. Plata Cocktail Bar does not take reservations; we operate on a walk-in basis. You can come and celebrate your birthday and request the Birthday Cake at the bar. Happy Birthday Shots are available after a first round of cocktails.
